Abstract
In this talk, I intend to show that the Social Action-Oriented Approach is closely linked, both in its emergence and in its implementation, to what are known, in very general terms, as "digital tools". For this relationship to be effective, however, it needs to be thought through in the light of what the history of the discipline, the didactics of cultural languages, teaches us about the different possible conceptions of the relationship between technological innovation and didactic innovation. These different conceptions are generated by the various corresponding paradigms: that of didactic determinism, that of technological determinism, that of social determinism and that of convergences-divergences. All these paradigms have their share of relevance, and in conclusion I propose "a strategy for sustainable transformation with intensive use of technological innovations" based on the successive use of each of these paradigms.
